 Temperament-Puppy Placement Process

At Rhinestone, our goal is to place each puppy in the home where they will thrive. Rather than allowing selections based solely on appearance or order of deposit, we use a structured, temperament-based placement process.

When puppies are approximately seven weeks old (around 49 days), each one undergoes a formal temperament evaluation conducted by an independent, qualified professional. This assessment looks at traits such as confidence, energy level, sociability, resilience, and overall aptitude.

We use the results of this evaluation—combined with our own observations from birth—to match each puppy with the home that best suits their personality and the buyer’s lifestyle, goals, and experience level. For example, a highly driven puppy may be better suited for an active or performance-oriented home, while a more easygoing puppy may be ideal for a family companion.

Because of this process, specific requests based solely on preferences like color, sex, or markings cannot always be guaranteed. While we do our best to consider preferences, the long-term success of the puppy in its home is our top priority.

By reserving a puppy with Rhinestone, you are trusting our experience and this process to select the puppy that is the best fit for you.
